PRO MAP EDITOR - LINUX
----------------------

Nothing to install: the editor is a single self-contained program (PROEditor)
with its graphics in the Materials folder next to it. Any desktop Linux with
X11 or Wayland works; .NET does NOT need to be installed.

GETTING IT TO START: extract the zip with your normal archive tool and run
PROEditor (double-click, or ./PROEditor in a terminal). The zip carries the
"this is a program" permission, so it should work at once.

If double-clicking does nothing (some unzip tools ignore that permission),
from a terminal, in the folder you extracted:

    cd path/to/PROEditor-linux-x64 (or -linux-arm64 on a Raspberry Pi / ARM machine)
    bash linux-start.sh

That restores the permission and starts the editor. From then on you can
double-click PROEditor or run ./linux-start.sh - the script is safe to run
every time.

Manual version of the same thing:

    chmod +x PROEditor
    ./PROEditor

Which build: linux-x64 for a normal PC, linux-arm64 for ARM machines
(Raspberry Pi 4/5, ARM laptops). Check with:  uname -m   (x86_64 -> x64,
aarch64 -> arm64).

If the window never appears: the editor writes crash.log next to PROEditor
and in ~/.config/PROEditor/ - send the newest one to the developer. The
only system libraries it needs are the usual desktop ones (X11, fontconfig,
OpenGL); on a very minimal install:
    Debian/Ubuntu:  sudo apt install libx11-6 libice6 libsm6 libfontconfig1
    Fedora: sudo dnf install libX11 libICE libSM fontconfig

Settings and the list of recent maps live in ~/.config/PROEditor/.
Maps are plain .promap files you can put anywhere.
